Our XP laptops have 6.3.1 HFA2 with pre-boot authentication on them. We are trying to upgrade them to 7 using a SCCM OSD Task Sequence. I have injected the prot_2k.sys in the boot image. The Task Sequence starts off in XP and does USMT (hard linking) and reboots the machine and stops at the pre-boot screen.
I login as a admin user and the boot image loads, the Task Sequence continues and lays down the 7 image on the disk. After the image is laid down, the machine reboots; the pre-boot screen is still present at this time. At this point, if I login to pointsec pre-boot, windows 7 starts, but the machine blue screens with a unmountable_boot_volume error.
How can I get around this error?
Thank You
