Hi,
I've a customer with a overall 900 clients active, this customer have request to us to install, reinstall and change the user's client, approx 140 client over the year.
We need to have the best performance (time of preparation and deploy) to reduce costs, so we evaluate the possible to use a SCCM infrastracture to deploy the OS, sw and configuration.
The problems are:
- the customer can ask to us to install and reinstall, many (about 50 ) hw different model (install new pc, and reinstall older pc due hw or os failure).
- The customer does not have a standard on OS and OFFICE, we have from wxp,Vista, w7.... to w8.1 (some x64 os also) and from office 2003 to 2013 (std, pro and h&B)
- The Customer does not have an Enterprise Agreement so we have a Licensing Jungle between box sw, open licensing, and so on.
I think that SCCM is not the correct choice because the HW situation, Licensing situation, NON STANDARD situation can defeat any SCCM feature that it can give us a plus.
I think that, with this situation, we not have a solution that is not the use of OEM OS preinstalled and a batch to install office, std software anche configuration. This solution can give us the right balance of freeedom.
Any suggestions ?
