PXE problem--duplicate GUID. Can't seem to get BannedGuids reg key to work.

I'm currently unable to PXE one model of computer at work and am 90% (95%?) sure it's because of duplicate a SMBIOS GUID.  As of now, we have almost 400 machines with the magical GUID of 00020003-0004-0005-0006-000700080009.  These were initially imaged using thumb drives so they're now out in the field, but I now need to get PXE working.  The smsts.log is showing the error There are no task sequences available to this computer.. Please ensure you have at least one task sequence advertised to this computer. Unspecified error (Error: 80004005; Source: Windows).  I know it's not a NIC or mass storage driver problem as I'm getting an IP address.  Since it will be a very large hassle to get a new BIOS for these machines (they're already at the latest version) or a tool to change the GUID, I would like to be able to useBannedGuids to force SCCM to just use MAC addresses.  Unfortunately, it appears not to be working.  Am I correct in assuming this is true since this is a line in the smsts.log? Setting SMBIOS GUID = 03000200-0400-0500-0006-000700080009. I've tried adding the GUID as 00020003-0004-0005-0006-000700080009 and 00020003000400050006000700080009 (as I've seen recommendations to do both with and without dashes.  I've even gone so far as to add it as 03000200-0400-0500-0006-000700080009 (with and without dashes).  Any ideas?

Thanks
